This book vividly paints a picture of life at Historically Black Higher Learning Institutions. As the identity of the protagonist is purposely withheld, readers are taken on an educational voyage of discovery, highlighting the importance of our schools while sharing the very experiences that have and continue to shape so many African American households.
With the release of this book, we look forward to it creating dialogue that will undoubtedly inspire more dialogue. Generations continue to evolve as byproducts of HBCU’s, and with pride and excitement we can't wait to see what's next.
MEET the author
Alfonza Scott Jr, born, raised and educated in Dayton Ohio. His extended education includes a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business, a Master's Degree in Counseling along with extensive business/corporate training.
After spending more than a decade researching, interviewing and talking to thousands throughout the country for this project, Scott is ecstatic about the completion of the book and fully understands the enormity of sharing it with the world.
He admits his life has forever been positively impacted after meeting and hearing the stories of so many other attendees, but strongly advocates that individuals do not have to be HBCU graduates or attendees to be proud of the worldwide contributions our schools and graduates have and continue to make.
